This legendary all-tube compressor design has long been a secret weapon of engineers the world over for its ability to transparently “level” signals while imparting an unmistakably vintage character. Unbelievably good on vocals, bass guitar, and vintage keys like the Wurlitzer electric piano, its musical compression action works beautifully in series with a faster compressor for limiting peaks, or on its own set to “Double” or “Triple” mode, where the time constants are shortened for even quicker response times. You can also use it as a saturation box in “bypass” mode, taking advantage of the carefully modeled tube circuitry for a rich, pleasing overdrive.

The V-COMP+ utilizes a premium JJ6386 tube for gain reduction, boasts expanded recovery time options and features a +5db input drive switch, making this sought-after classic more versatile for the modern studio.
